Beatrix Ruf

Beatrix Ruf is the Director and Curator of the Kunsthalle Zürich where she has, since 2001, organized numerous exhibitions, written essays, and published catalogues on a wide range of contemporary artists?including Jenny Holzer, Marina Abramovic, Liam Gillick, Angela Bulloch, Urs Fischer, Ugo Rondinone, Richard Prince, Peter Doig, Elmgreen and Dragset, Rodney Graham, Isa Genzken, Carol Bove, Trisha Donnelly, Wade Guyton, Seth Price, Kelley Walker, Josh Smith, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Pierre Huyghe and Philippe Parreno, Monica Bonvicini, Doug Aitken, Rebecca Warren, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster. Since 1995 she has served as curator of the noted Ringier Collection, Zürich and for the last 5 years she has been the Associate Editor of the publishing house JRP/Ringier. Ruf was the curator of the third Tate Triennial: New British Art, Tate Britain, London (2006) and a co-curator of the Yokohama Trienniale (2008). From 1998-2001 she served as director and curator of the Kunsthaus Glarus, Switzerland and between 1994 and 1998 she was curator at the Kunstmuseum of the Canton of Thurgau.
