Germany Trip

The Society for Contemporary Art is pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity to visit two of Europe’s most spectacular art events — Documenta and the Muenster Sculpture Project. Because these two exhibitions coincide once every 15 years, you will not want to miss this chance to view them along with Lisa Dorin, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago. In addition to Documenta and Muenster, we will also be spending 2 1/2 days exploring the art and architecture of Berlin. This 10 day trip (June 14-24) will include 4 nights in Kassel, 2 nights in Muenster and 3 nights in Berlin. Portions of some days and some evenings are left open for travelers to explore on their own and at their leisure. Exact destinations in Berlin, including museums, monuments and architecturally significant buildings are still in formation. The estimated costs are as follows: Single Occupancy $3,925 Double Occupancy $3,200 The trip will include the cost of hotels, breakfast, 3 dinners, entrance fees and ground transportation. Airfare and additional meals are not included. A non-refundable deposit of 800.00 per person is due by December 15th. The balance will be due April 4, 2007. Please make a check payable to the Society of Contemporary Art. Unfortunately, we do not accept credit cards. Please note that your space will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. This trip is available only to members in good standing of the Society. If you would like to inquire about your membership status, join the SCA, or have any questions pertaining to the trip please contact Jenny Gheith at 312.443.3630.
