Please join us for an afternoon in Hyde Park. We will begin with a tour of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, led by Canice Prendergast, W. Allen Wallis Professor of Economics. Since 2006, Canice Prendergast along with Susanne Ghez, Director of the Renaissance Society and James Rondeau, Frances and Thomas Dittmer Chair and Curator, The Art Institute of Chicago have assembled this remarkable collection that includes work by Wolfgang Tillmans, Tacita Dean, Mark Grotjahn, Paul Chan, Florian Maier Aichen, Willie Doherty, Richard Hawkins, and Andre Butzer. Next we will visit the studio of artist Stephanie Brooks. In her work Brooks, who had a recent solo exhibition at Rhona Hoffman Gallery, investigates the formal aesthetics of poetry, metaphors and figurative language. We will conclude our day at the Experimental Station. In addition to office and retail space, the building includes project and exhibition space, as well as an area for events and community gatherings.
