Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park Tour

Please join us as we celebrate a major expansion of the collection at The Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park. From its inception in the late 1960s in honor of Lew Manilow?s father, this 750 acre park has acquired landmark monumental sculpture by contemporary artists such as Bruce Nauman, Mark Di Suvero, John Henry, Martin Puryear, and John Chamberlain, and many more. The recent additions include works by Richard Rezac, Tony Tasset, and Christine Tarkowski, among others. The park is located 30 miles south of the city on the campus of Governors State University. Through the generosity of Lew Manilow, Society for Contemporary Art members are invited to this special afternoon event. The program will include a tour of the park, which will leave promptly at 2:30 pm and last approximately 1.5 hours. A cocktail reception with a number of artists who are represented in the park will follow. Please call Jenny Gheith at 312.443.3630 to make your reservation. Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of payment, as space is extremely limited for this event. All reservations must be made by Tuesday, October 3rd. An additional invitation will be sent to all confirming by the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park.
