West Town Gallery Crawl

This year we have reinvented our annual spring gallery walk to explore Chicago galleries that are not part of a centralized neighborhood district. Outfitted with a classic trolley car, we will visit a selection of diverse galleries presenting a wide range of work by local and international emerging artists and mid-century American artists, along with ancient art from Africa, Asia and the Americas. Featured galleries include the Douglas Dawson Gallery, Shane Campbell Gallery, Devening Projects + Editions, Western Exhibitions, Lisa Boyle Gallery, 65 Grand, Corbett vs. Dempsey, Koscielak Gallery, and Roots & Culture Contemporary Art Center. Led by Annie Morse, Senior Lecturer at The Art Institute of Chicago, we will discuss each gallery?s current exhibition and particular contribution to the Chicago art scene. A catered lunch and cocktail reception will be served on the trolley throughout the afternoon. Please join us for what promises to be an exciting afternoon. Please call Jenny Gheith at 312.443.3630 to make your reservation. Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of payment as space is extremely limited for this event. All reservations must be made by Monday 5 May. Please note that most galleries on this tour are not wheelchair accessible and may require walking up several flights of stairs. The Society for Contemporary Art would like to acknowledge our partnership with Sotheby?s for this and upcoming events
