As a member of the SCA, you make an important difference at the Art Institute of Chicago, directly impacting public programming, the permanent collection, and ground-breaking exhibitions and performances at the museum.
Membership Options
Join us for the ongoing conversation about the art of our time. Members support the work of the Modern and Contemporary department at the Art Institute of Chicago, acquire key works for the museum, and engage in one-of-a-kind experiences with artists, curators, collectors, and the curious.
Each of the five membership tiers offers invitations for two to special events tailored to each level. The SCA offers reduced fee Junior, Artist, and Friend level memberships on an annual basis. To be considered, please fill out the application. Join today to help advance the museum’s missions to shape the future of contemporary art in Chicago.
- Art Institute of Chicago membership at any level is required for SCA membership.
- Membership auto-renewal is now the default for new members signing up online below.
- To pay your membership fees by check or stock transfer contact the SCA at info@scaaic.org.
- All dues are tax-deductible, to the extent permitted by law.

$200JUNIOR memberships are offered to those under the age of 35.

$200ARTIST memberships are offered to practicing artists and those employed in the arts industry at museums, galleries, art fairs, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions.

Annual New Member Welcome: curator-led tour of the Modern and Contemporary Art galleries at the Art Institute of Chicago and reception.
