Chryssa & New York presents a comprehensive survey of the Greek-born artist's work, marking the first North American exhibition since 1982. The exhibition unveils Chryssa's innovative use of signage, text, and neon, transcending Pop, Conceptual, and Minimalist art. Immerse yourself in her dynamic oeuvre, ranging from early works like the Cycladic Books series to captivating plaster and metal reliefs capturing natural light phenomena. Witness the restoration of the monumental sculpture, "The Gates to Times Square," gaining valuable insight into her artistic processes.

This rare opportunity allows SCA members to explore Chryssa's profound formal concerns and critical exploration of post-World War II United States and socialize over refreshments in the thoughtfully and beautifully designed space by architect Tadao Ando at Wrightwood 659.
