Join us at Experimental Sound Studio (ESS) for a summer happy hour celebrating the retrospective exhibition of interdisciplinary artist Sandra Binion's five-decade career, titled Sandra Binion: Autobiography of Looking.

Set in ESS's hidden back garden, the event offers a picturesque backdrop for socializing with fellow SCA and ESS members while enjoying the exhibition and a unique performance of "Yellow at Noon" (1979) featuring trombonist Jeb Bishop, alongside improvisations by Lia Kohl, Nick Meryhew, and Peter Maunu on themes composed for Sandra Binion by Roscoe Mitchell, Lawrence “Butch” Morris, Frank Abbinanti, Bertram Turetzky, and others. All accompanied by a delightful reception.
