Guided by the Art Institute of Chicago’s curators, Thea Liberty Nichols and Mark Pascale, this exclusive private tour invites SCA members to intimately explore exhibition Christina Ramberg: A Retrospective. Delve into Ramberg's influential career within Chicago's contemporary art scene, tracing her artistic evolution from early paintings focused on women's hairstyles to mature works featuring cropped torsos in lingerie. Witness approximately 100 pieces that showcase the breadth of her artistry, including the mid- to late-1970s boundary-blurring paintings and experimental quilts from the late 1980s. The exhibition, featuring her final body of dark geometric abstractions, pays homage to Ramberg's commitment to drawing, painting, and quilting.
